Lands that constitute the Gordon Area
There are currently three major land areas that make up the Gordon Natural Area: The Ridge, The Floodplain and The Southeastern Parcel. Additionally there are parcels that are under consideration for addition to the Gordon Area.
Below is a photograph showing the Southeastern Parcel of the Gordon Natural Area: 61 acres of deciduous forest south of Tigue Road and east of S. New Street (not dedicated in 1973, but currently used for teaching and research).
