You have reached the demo-site for the Virtual Biology Laboratory 2.0. This site provides limited acess the modules and exercises contained in full version of VBL 2.0.

This site requires MacOS 8.6 or higher, OSX 10.1 or higher, or Windows 95 or higher. Parts of this web site rely on the following technologies:

QuickTime (version 4.1.2 or higher; version 5.0 or higher recommended)

The site requires Netscape 4.x, Netscape 7.x (or higher), Mozilla 1.2 (or higher), or Internet Explorer 4.x (or higher). Netscape 6.x is not recommended. We recommend that you reduce the number and/or sizes of the menus displayed in the browser window in order to obtain the maximum viewing area possible.

Screen size should be set to a minimum of 800 x 600 dpi.

The first time you open certain windows (particularly modules), there may be a short delay to download xtras that may be missing from your shockwave folder. When asked if it is okay to download the missing xtras, select okay or the module will not run properly (xtras are small extentions to shockwave which extend its capabilites; xtras only need to be downloaded once). If the download of a module or page seems to have stalled, be patient. If you have a slow connection to the internet, some modules may take a minute or two to download.

Note: Before running the full version of VBL from Brookscole, you will be required to Purchase a Password. The password can be purchased at the Brookscole web site.
